Welcome to the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society

Over the last few weeks the local media has been filled with stories of the difficulty that local charities are having meeting fundraising targets this holiday season, so we ask that you please “PAWs and consider the PURRfect gift this Christmas” and help us to re-imagine Christmas for not only the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society but all of the countless animals, people and organizations that are truly in need.

PAWS and Help a Friend this Christmas
This Christmas consider a gift to your four footed friends that lasts throughout the year. Join our monthly donation program PADS for PAWS PLAN. Your pre-authorized debit (PAD) contribution of as little as $5.00 per month will provide food and shelter for countless animals that would otherwise be left in abusive situations or out on the street to fend for themselves.

The Thunder Bay & District Humane Society is a non-profit organization, dedicated to providing care and shelter to animals in need and investigating and enforcing animal cruelty laws. We are a low-kill shelter offering food, vet care and shelter to animals who have been neglected, abandoned, abused, or whose owners simply can't care for them anymore.
As an affliate of the OSPCA we are empowered to enforce animal cruelty laws in the District of Thunder Bay. We are a financially independent non-profit organization, funded entirely by our own fundraising efforts, donations from the community and adoption/bring-in fees. We receive no funding from the provincial OSPCA or any government sources for our regular operation or law enforcement.
